🐻 Fiat Bravo Change Engine Oil Message
Now if you read Andy's guide properly he wrote ' The 1.2 8V takes 2.6 Litres of oil ( (4.58 pints)) to bring it to ½ way on the dipstick And as T14086 advises below 3.2 Litres to fill it to max. Advises, not tells you. I personally fill them up with 3,2 and have done hundreds of services on 1.2 engines without.
Sorry for the obvious statement there I know there are many people who say that dirty oil is a good sign - FIAT included (in the handbook there is a phrase to the effect of "new oil will look black soon after changing) and I agree in the sense that black oil has done its job removing carbon from engine parts, so it's a sign that it worked.

clutch all replaced now and all is well, seems like some of my noises mentioned in other threads were clutch related. the plate was down to the rivets and a miracle it only slipped when the turbo came in, and the car could still move. the gearbox has had an oil change too, and that's quietened it down a touch but the overrun at 38mph in 5th/6th still has a slight whine, the curse of the M32

Thanks for the help guys and im going to be greasing the cables as well, just thought it couldnt hurt to change the oil seeing as ive burst the 100000 mile mark. Flashing oil warning lamp together with a "change engine oil" message on a current generation Sevel van means that the oil degradation counter has determined the oil is likely degraded to the extent that it can no longer adequately protect the engine. This is a completely separate system to the service interval reset.

Some of these signs include irregular shifting, inability to shift, dashboard warning lights, slipping transmission, and strange noises coming from under the hood. Channel: Fiat 500 ABARTH Issues and Concerns. 08-11-2012, 09:28 PM. Well gang, it appears I'm the first person to change their own oil for the 500x 2.4L. The other thread relates to the 1.4L. My Oil light came on at 7775 miles. Although it was not difficult, it's nothing like the procedure for the 1.4L.
Oil Pressure Warning Light. This light indicates low engine oil pressure. The light should come on as a bulb check when the ignition switch is first turned ON and remain on momentarily when the engine is started. If the light does not come on during starting, have the system checked by an authorized dealer.
